Digipak Layout and researching into other artists digipaks.

The fonts used can sometimes represent the artist and who they are and can sometimes show the type of music genre which they are in without even looking at the name of the artist.

 

The layout mostly the artist is on the front with the name of the disk on and the inside is normally photos which are the same theme and the back has the names of the tracks, artists and the bar code with the price of the album or song .

 

Most of the packs have photos with convey with the album or the artist and they normally place 1,2,3 different photos of the artists with things relating to the song on each part .

 

1. Looked at soul hip hop and what the cover and the inside of the Digipaks, The lyrics to the songs are placed in a booklet, the musicians and the people who produced the album, the cover of the songs represents the artist and genre , on the back in the small print next to the bar code it tells you the record labels with the location  and the sponsors in the corner with little photos.

2. looked at another album cover of Now 41 , the inside is very similar to the other cover having a booklet in the inside with the names of the songs , the colours contrast red very bubbly and retro that sync to the songs and have the same meaning, the back of the of the cover has the same colours with the two cds and the tracks names and artist , sponsors in the corner.


3.When aspiring to make a classic album, this one looks like classics that came before it in the 1990s .The front of the album does not represent the type of genre or the music which is withheld inside but it rather make him look a joke trying to change it up a little and not going with the typical look of loads of money and have him in a large car with girl but as him as a baby, this could be telling you that he wants to take it back old school and change the type of tracks which he is making , The colour is black around the artist head and through the book with bold writing this could connote he is trying to make a point with the music and actually making a meaning rather than rubbish and the back of the album shows the track , the creators , bar code and some sponsors which have helped.


 4. When looking a jay z album reasonable doubt, the front cover shows himself in a large hat and coat with a large cigar this giving the meaning that he has made it to the top but from the Title which is in bold large font saying ''reasonable doubt'' meaning that it could be a statement to people that don’t like him and doubt him music talent but this album charted for 18 weeks straight. The colour is plain making meaning of the album very clear , it keep the dark colours throughout the video and shows the tracks on the back of the album with the artist who have performed with him .


Overall the colours of the two hip hop covers more make the meaning to the songs stand and from a views perspective it make more people intrigued to want to take a look , The wording is normally bold large letter but very short, images of the artist which is sometimes close up to the artist and iv taken many different idea that will change the way i make my digipac.
